AGP-20-03 Amend General Plan-Seven Springs Hideout

AGP-20-03 Amendment to the General Plan - 7 Springs Hideout 

Request:  To amend the Land Use Map contained within the General Plan for parcels 211-07-006E, 012B and 006F by changing the current Land Use designation of “Desert Rural” to a combination of Open Space” and “Commercial”. The subject 18.42-acre property is located just north of the Town Core Specific Area Plan boundary, north of Grapevine Road and west of School House Road.

A Rezoning request was concurrently applied for (Case Z-20-03) to change the underlying zoning from a Desert Rural Residential (DR-89) Zone  to a combination of Open Space Conservation (OSC) Zone and Commercial Buffer (CB) Zone.   The applicant has requested that the Rezoning Request be placed "On Hold" until further notice.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 7 p.m.  to consider the request to amend the Land Use Map contained within the General Plan .  Due to the current health emergency, the meeting will be conducted via Zoom Conferencing.  Instructions on how to view and/or participate via the Zoom platform are included in the agenda packet.

At the August 20, 2020 meeting, the Planning Commission voted 5-0 to Recommend Denial of the request to amend the Land Use Map contained within the General Plan  for parcels 211-07-006E, 012B and 006F by changing the current Land Use designation of “Desert Rural” to a combination of Open Space” and “Commercial”.

The applicant withdrew the application for a General Plan Amendment and the Rezoning Request, which was applied for concurrently, on September 9, 2020, prior to Town Council consideration.
