Notice is hereby given that the Town of Cave Creek Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers, 37622 N. Cave Creek Road to review and discuss the proposed 2021 General Plan Update and make recommendation to the Town Council.  

Because of the current health emergency, the Planning Commission is providing for in person public participation and an option to view and participate electronically.  The live meeting may be listened to by calling 888-475-4499 or 877-853-5257 (toll free) using meeting ID 936 6123 1481 and following the prompts. Please view the Agenda at the link below for further instructions on how to view and/or participate in the meeting via the Zoom platform.  Seating in the Council Chambers will be arranged for physical distancing.  

 A draft of the 2021 General Plan Update has been available for public review on the Town’s website at www.cavecreekaz.gov and on the project website at www.cavecreekgp.com and at Town Hall.  A copy of the proposed document will be available one-week prior to the public hearing at Town Hall, on the above websites and included in the Planning Commission Agenda for October 1, 2020 available at https://cavecreek.civicweb.net/filepro/documents/41633. At the October 1, 2020 Planning Commission, the Commission voted 6 - 0 to Recommend Approval of the proposed General Plan 2021.

The Town Council will consider the proposed General Plan 2021 at their Council meeting on November 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cave Creek Town Hall, 37622 N. Cave Creek Rd, Cave Creek, AZ to consider the proposed 2021 General Plan. To decrease COVID-19 exposure, the Town Council is providing for in person public participation and an option to view and participate electronically.  Please view the Town Council Agenda at  https://cavecreek.civicweb.net/filepro/documents/41906 for instructions on how to view and/or participate in the Zoom platform.

At the November 1, 2020 Town Council public hearing, the Town Council voted 7-0 to approve Resolution No. R2020-27, a resolution of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Cave Creek, Maricopa County, Arizona, finding certain facts and adopting the proposed General Plan of the Town of Cave Creek, Arizona, and ordering that the proposed General Plan be submitted to the qualified electors of the Town of Cave Creek, Arizona for ratification and providing notice of the Plan and such submission to the voters and providing for an effective date.

The proposed General Plan will be submitted to the qualified electors of the Town, as a referred item at an election to be held May 18, 2021.
