On November 2, 2020, Cave Creek Town Council passed Resolution No. R2020-27 authorizing a special election for ratifying the 2021 Town of Cave Creek General Plan to be held on May 18, 2021. A publicity pamphlet with information on Proposition 461; Town of Cave Creek 2021 General Plan was mailed to every household with a registered voter in the Town of Cave Creek. Included in that pamphlet are arguments for and against the 2021 Town of Cave Creek General Plan: Informational Pamphlet and Special Ballot.
Important Special Election Dates
- May 10, 2021: Replacement Ballot Location opens at Town of Cave Creek; 37622 N. Cave Creek Road Monday - Thursday only
- May 18, 2021: Election Day
All Mail Ballot Election
This is an All-Mail Ballot Election; you do not need to request a ballot. You will automatically be sent a ballot via U.S. Mail. Your voted ballot must be returned by U.S. Mail or in person no later than 7:00 p.m. on May 18, 2021 – Election Day.
As an alternative to returning your voted ballot by U.S. Mail, you may return your voted ballot in person no later than 7:00 p.m. on May 18, 2021 – Election Day to Cave Creek Town Hall , 37622 N. Cave Creek Rd. , or any other polling place within Maricopa County for other election scheduled on the same date.
Replacement Ballots:
Ballots were mailed beginning on April 21, 2021. Voters whose ballots are destroyed, lost, spoiled, or voters who do not receive a ballot in the mail may obtain a replacement ballot. Beginning May 10, 2021 replacement ballots may be obtained at the location listed below during regular business hours and on Election Day—May 18th, 2021 from 6:00am – 7:00pm.
