Familiarize with Cave Creek Stage I and Stage II Restrictions
PERMITTING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL SPARK-GENERATING ACTIVITY
November 2, 2020 the Town of Cave Creek updated its Stage I and Stage II Fire Restrictions. With ongoing drought and increased fuels, such as invasive weeds, fires within the Town limits in 2020 taught us that the threat of fires is on the rise and they’ve come too close to home. Structures were lost in the Ocotillo fire and the Town of Cave Creek is engaging you to aid in the protection against the outbreak and spread of future fires.
Spark generating activities encompass (but are not limited to) welding, grinding, braising, cutting steel, fireworks, the ignition of model rockets, and the use of flames in outdoor areas such as flame-based weed removal and wood burning for cooking or campfires.
Currently, Cave Creek is under Stage Two Fire Restrictions: permits are needed for all open-flame and spark-generating activities. Know Cave Creek’s Stage I and Stage II Fire Restrictions:
