Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment (“Board”) is a quasi-judicial body that is appointed by the Town Council. The Board shall hear and decide appeals for variances from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance, only if, because of special circumstances applicable to the property including its size, shape, topography, location or surrounds, the strict application of the Zoning Ordinance will deprive such property of privileges enjoyed by other property of the same classification in the same zoning district.
The Board shall also hear and decide appeals in which it is alleged there is an error in an order, requirement or decision made by the zoning administrator in the enforcement of a zoning ordinance.
Notice of request for applications
The Town Council of the Town of Cave Creek is currently seeking applications from Citizens wishing to serve on the Town of Cave Creek Board of Adjustment.
Currently there are openings for:
- One vacancy on the Board with a term expiration of December 31, 2021,
- Two vacancies on the Board with a term expiration of December 31, 2022 and,
- Two vacancies on the Board with a term expiration of December 31, 2023.
Applications must be received by the Town of Cave Creek on or before NOON, November 19, 2020. Please fill out an application (PDF) and submit it to the Town Clerk’s office either in person at Town Hall (37622 N. Cave Creek Road) or via email to email@example.com.
Town Council will review all letters of interest and conduct interviews at the MONDAY December 7, 2020, Regular Town Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m. the Town Hall Council Chambers, 37622 N. Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek, AZ 85331.
The Board of Adjustment meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month, provided cases are scheduled.
