Open Space Ad Hoc Committee

This summer, the Town advertised and sought applications for residents interested in serving on the ad hoc open space committee. This committee was formed to examine the future use and potential acquisition of approximately 4,000 acres of Open Space zoned Arizona State Trust Land within the town's boundaries. Nineteen citizens applied to participate as members of an ad hoc committee to recommend to the Council. Seventeen residents were selected to be a part of the committee. The Ad Hoc Committee is expected to meet six times and will conclude its work by February 2, 2026. The Ad Hoc Committee will meet monthly in the Town Council Chambers.
