NOTICE OF MEETING

WEDNESDAY, JULY 19, 2006; 7:00 pm

TOWN OF CAVE CREEK

TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS

37622 N. CAVE CREEK ROAD

CAVE CREEK, AZ 85331

First of Three Public Meetings

Phoenix Mine Site Redevelopment

The Town of Cave Creek has initiated the Phoenix Mine Site Redevelopment Planning process. The 38-acre site has remained undeveloped since mining operations ceased in 1985. Redevelopment of the site will provide the Town with a vital, functioning amenity and gateway to the 2,154 acre Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area, an important open space resource and recreational area for the community.  Site conceptual planning and subsequent redevelopment would take into account the unique scenic qualities of the Sonoran Desert, public safety and conservation of the history of the site.

The first public meeting will focus on an exchange of information with the public to identify the residents’ vision for the future of the site. The Town will hold two additional public meetings in conjunction with the development of the Site Master Plan. The second meeting is planned for September 20, 2006. The public is invited to attend all public meetings.

This meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in the Town of Cave Creek Council Chambers.

A quorum of the Cave Creek Town Council or the Planning and Zoning Commission or the Board of Adjustment may be present.  This is NOT a Council Meeting nor a Commission Meeting, nor a Board of Adjustment meeting, therefore no action will be taken by the members of the Town Council or the Planning and Zoning Commission or the Board of Adjustment.
