The Flood Control District of Maricopa County and the Town of Cave Creek will host a community workshop to discuss the Cave Creek Drainage Master Plan (DMP) on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 5:30 pm at the Christ Anglican Episcopal Church, 35500 N. Cave Creek Road, Carefree, Arizona. The goals of this workshop are to provide the public with a study overview and status update, to report on previous public input and to gather further input on potential flood control options for Cave Creek. This workshop is the second of three public meetings to be held during the course of this study.
There will be a presentation and a brainstorming/question and answer period to discuss and suggest alternative solutions to address identified flooding problems. The public is invited to participate in this workshop.
The DMP is designed to protect residents and property within Cave Creek from erosion and flooding hazards and will identify floodplains within the Town. A Flood Response Plan will be completed to outline specific policies and actions to be taken in response to impending or actual flooding.
